DESIGN STUDIOS

We have full design and typesetting facilities available in house and would be happy to do you artwork for you. Also we have scanning facilities and colour output facilities for proofing etc.

The prices are as follows:

Leaflets :

A5 - £5
A4 - £10
A3 - £20

These prices are based on a design consisting of text, set out according to the brief or left to our designers to place the elements of the leaflet in the appropriate positions.

Simple tints and supplied graphics can be added at no extra cost, but there is a charge for more complicated tints.

Booklets

For straight forward type with different faces for headings, etc. the charges are as follows:

A4 page (based on 12point main text) £10.00
A5 page (based on 12point main text) £5.00

Again simple tints and supplied graphics can be added at no extra cost, but there is a charge for more complicated tints. There are also extra charges for typesetting pages of tables, charts etc.

Artwork can also be sent on disk up to A3 size for output on our high definition laser printer. All files must be in a PC Windows format.

We have over 3000 typefaces, 100 000 clipart images and 25 000 royalty free stock photographs to meet most requirements. (There is a small charge for placing these items on your documents).

Stationary

The stationary prices elsewhere in this brochure include the cost of design in the price.

If you would prefer us to design it for you simply give us the details and we will do the rest, otherwise please inform us of any font or layout requirements when ordering.

Colour Artwork

The cost to design a simple colour page including placing a photo and colouring headings and text as required is £20 for A4 and £30 for A3.

Anything requiring more design such as blurring, 3D effects, drop shadows etc are charged at an hourly rate of £15 per hour. (Minimum charge £5)

Please note - we have extensive software for applying varying effects to text and objects, from simple 3D effects to the design of entire landscapes and backdrops. Also text etc. can be coloured to appear metallic, glass, etc. We charge this service at £15 per hour - quotes will be given on sight of the copy.

Also photo re touching (for the removal of scratches, marks, etc) is chargable at an hourly rate of £15 per hour (Minimum charge £5).

Seperation of colour drawings into spot colours is chargable at the same rate as above (including colour logos, etc).

Scanning

We have a desktop scanner in our studio which isused for scanning logos and lineart and photographs for reproduction.

Photographs for colour reproduction that contain detail in either the dark area or the very light areas need to be scanned at a repro-house using a drum scanner which gives a much greater depth of colour etc.
The cost for this varies according to the size of your original but roughly speaking is as follows :

up to A6 - £7.50
up to A5 - £15.00
up to A4 - £25.00

Proofs

Black and white proofs from our laser printer can be sent to you FREE OF CHARGE so you can check layout and spelling etc.
One colour work proofs from our colour laser printer will be sent, for basic design and layout checking only. These are FREE OF CHARGE but are not a guarenteed colour match to the final print. For this a match print is required (£P.O.A.)

Once you have seen and approved a proof we cannot be responsible for errors found after we have gone to print - That's what proofs are for!
